Weather in Cyprus
Cyprus has the hottest and driest climate of all the Mediterranean islands and averages 340 days of sunshine a year. The summer months of July and August are typically hot with temperatures well in excess of 30ºC.
Relief from the heat can be found in coastal areas and at higher altitudes where temperatures are sometimes up to 10 degrees cooler than inland. The temperature in the winter months rarely drops below 15ºC and the majority of rainfall is from December to February. |
